For over thirty years in seven countries and a variety of settings Elizabeth has worked to make the world a better place for young children. Along the way she raised four children, moved seventeen times, and Ph.D. from University of Florida. As many do at midlife, Elizabeth made a significant change: supporting families of adolescents and young adults with substance use disorder a stigmatized, chronic, relapsing, illness. She is certificated as a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). Elizabeth is completing course work towards a Graduate Certificate in Addiction and Recovery from the University of Florida School of Medicine.

I completed the initial and advanced training as a Wellcoaches Certified Professional Wellness coach in 2016. Wellcoaches, in cooperation with the American College of Sports Medicine, is an international leader in the field of coaching science. Following my work with Wellcoaches I pursued specific training as a Progressive Recovery Coach (PRC) with the Center for Progressive Recovery. In addition, I have specialized training in group coaching, coaching for weight loss as well as culinary coaching with the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine.

I am currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Addiction and Recovery from the University of Florida, College of Medicine.
